In today’s lesson, we discussed the present tense, known in Arabic as المدارع المرفوع, and its modifications into the subjunctive mood (المضارع المنصوب). The subjunctive mood conveys wishes, purposes, and commands, and we analyzed examples to distinguish between two verbs in various sentences. Each pair of verbs demonstrated differences in their suffixes, indicating how their conjugation changes based on context. We will continue to explore the subjunctive and later discuss the jussive mood in upcoming lessons.
