Today, we continued our mathematics lesson for seventh graders by focusing on interpreting and constructing frequency tables and bar charts. We learned that a frequency table summarizes how often events occur in a dataset and typically has three columns: the event, the frequency, and the class intervals. Using a survey conducted by James to find his classmates’ heights, we explored grouping the data into intervals to build a frequency table more effectively. Ultimately, students will gain the skills necessary to create frequency tables with grouped discrete data.
