In today’s lesson, students continued learning about plucked instruments, focusing on the harp and discussing its structure, including the pedals and strings made from gut and steel. The harp has a range of about six and a half octaves, similar to a piano, with different colored strings for visual guidance, and uses pedals to change keys by semitones. Techniques such as playing harmonics and the “Près de la Table” (P D L T) effect were also demonstrated, highlighting the unique methods of harp playing.
