In today’s design and technology lesson, students explored the concepts of conductors and insulators. Conductors allow electricity to pass through them, while insulators do not, with semiconductors exhibiting properties of both under certain conditions. Students learned how to identify these materials using a simple circuit: if a light bulb connected to the circuit lights up, the material is a conductor; if it does not light up, the material is an insulator. The lesson included a practical demonstration using an electrical conductivity tester circuit.
