Hello children, how are you? Today’s lesson continues from where we left off, focusing on the fascinating camouflage capabilities of creatures like the octopus, as we saw in the previous lesson about “il-kamaleonte” (the chameleon), which changes color to blend with its surroundings or trick predators. We explored how octopuses use chromatophores to shift pigments and even alter skin texture, helping them to stay hidden from predators and hunt effectively, as seen in a demonstration of a Cyanea octopus hunting crustaceans and mollusks. Moreover, the lesson highlighted various sea creatures that adapt their colors and some that are even transparent, showcasing the diverse tactics marine life uses to survive.
