This lesson explains energy transfer and pyraminds of numbers and biomass.
How To Carry Out This Lesson At Home:
This is the second lesson to ways of representing feeding relationships. It uses and extends on the knowledge gained in lesson 1.
Feeding relationships identify the energy transfer from producers (who gain their energy from light (electromagnetic) rays) along the trophic levels in a food chain or food web. Most of the energy is lost and only some 10% of energy moves from one trophic level to another.
The second part of this lesson explains pyramid of numbers and pyramids of biomass. Biological terms used in lesson 1 are also used in this lesson. The lesson is found in the resources section.
