Introduction:
Open the ‘Introduction Image’ and discuss/think about the questions below:
• What do you understand by the world ‘Fashion’?
• What careers can you observe in the picture?

Step 1:
On the handout: Careers in the Fashion Industry, list as many careers you can think of in the spaces provided.

Step 2:
Discuss/Think about: How can these careers be grouped into different sectors?

On your handout, colour the careers written down in step 1 according to the sector they belong to:
• Design sector: red
• Manufacturing sector: blue
• Marketing and Promotion sector: yellow
• Retail sector: green

Write the careers under the sector they belong to on page 2 of your handout.

Step 3:
Go through the PowerPoint presentation named ‘The Fashion Industry’ to learn more about the different sectors and careers.

Step 4:
Watch the following video (Credits: Youtube) which gives you an idea of what it is like to work in the fashion industry:

Discuss/Think about: What competences (abilities) would you need to make it in this kind of industry?

Step 5:
Look at the competences on page 3 of your handout and write them down under the correct sector.

Step 6:
Open the PowerPoint presentation named ‘Guess the Career’ and follow the instructions to complete the guessing game.

Conclusion:
Complete the Word Search on the last page of your handout. For each career you find, revise what the job involves.
