What Should You Expect From This Lesson?
The objective of this lesson is for students to understand that people of different religions express their faith in different ways.
How To Carry Out This Lesson At Home:
You will need:
– Some papers
– Pencil case
– Laptop/Computer/Tablet/Mobile
Step 1: Think and reflect
1. Think of the religion that you believe in and write it down on a sheet of paper. (If you do not believe in any religion, choose any religion that you have some knowledge about.)
2. Draw (or write) symbols that are associated with this religion.
3. List or draw any clothes or other symbols that make part of this religion.
4. Think about 5 celebrations that are related to this religion.
5. Is there a place of worship for this religion? If so, what is its name?
6. Is there a religious leader? If so, what is his/her name?
Step 2: Research
1. Choose another religion (not the one you chose in Step 1).
For example: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.
2. Write the name of the chosen religion on a sheet of paper.
3. Do some research to answer the questions found in Step 1. Write down your answers.
4. What differences and common things can you find between these two religions that you have worked on?
Step 3: Presentation
Using the information that you have, develop a PowerPoint presentation or any other type of presentation about your religion (or about the religion that you have chosen).
