How To Carry Out This Lesson At Home:

Watch this YouTube video about the book ‘Love you forever’ by clicking on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsWbZwLusyE
Step 2: Answer these questions
• How do your parents show they love you?
• Why does the mother love the boy and what does the mother get in return?
• Why is a mother’s love selfless when it comes to their child?
• Do you think the boy is being selfish by not telling his mother he loves her?
• Can you be angry with someone and still love them?
• How do you show your parents you love them?
• Why did the mother always love him?
• Do you think the boy loved the mother, but just was too embarrassed to say?
• Why are we embarrassed to tell someone we love them?
• Why did the boy not show his love for his mother until he was older?
• Do you need to have a reason to love someone?
Step 3:
Parents/guardians have the obligation to care for their children’s needs. The same parents/guardians have the right to have the authority of their status respected by their children who have the obligation to show such respect.
Point out in which part of the story the boy did not show respect?
In what way could he have behaved differently?
Concluding activity
Think about your own behaviour towards those who take care of you. Have you always respected their authority? Think of the times in which you had the obligation to show respect but you did not. How would you improve your behaviour towards them?
