How To Carry Out This Lesson At Home:

Step 1: Think!
What are some of the ways that you and your friends tease each other online for fun?

Step 2:
When does teasing “cross the line” and become harmful? What are some signs, and what does it feel like to be in that situation?

Step 3:
Imagine someone saying that they hate you and making fun of you everywhere you go at school. Now imagine someone doing that on the Internet. How are these two situations similar? How are they different?
What can you do if you feel like you’re being cyberbullied?
What does it feel like when a teasing situation “crosses the line” from harmless to harmful?

Concluding activity
Explain the difference between innocent teasing and crossing the line.
