What Should You Expect From This Lesson?
In this lesson the student will learn how to draw simple shapes in one point perspective.
How To Carry Out This Lesson At Home:
Perspective is another pictorial projection that we can use to draw 3d drawings. In this lesson we will focus on one point-perspective drawings. We will learn to draw some special elements in perspective drawings like the horizon line, the vanishing point and the projecting lines.
The horizon line is the line that divides the sky from the ground. We can also look at the horizon line as a line that marks our eye level, that is what should be above our line of sight and what comes below.
The projecting lines are all the lines coming out from the vanishing point. These lines help us draw objects smaller and smaller as they get closer to the vanishing point.
To cover this lesson please follow these steps:
1. Take a blank paper. This could be A4 or A3, according to your preference.
2. Watch the video attached below carefully.
3. Draw any shape you like as flat, and then project the shape onto the vanishing point using projecting lines.
4. Draw the 3d shapes in one-point perspective.
5. You can now shade or decorate your 3d shapes. Check out the attached pictures for some ideas.
Congratulations!
Now you can draw your favourite one-point perspective 3d shapes.
