What Should You Expect From This Lesson?
In this lesson learners will be applying their knowledge of things covered in this topic to storage on a smartphone
How To Carry Out This Lesson At Home:
These days, smartphones are available in anywhere from 64GB to 512GB and more onboard storage. Since higher capacity models are often considerably more expensive, it is worth considering how much storage we need before buying a smartphone.
Step 1: What’s in my smartphone?
Find out:
– How much onboard storage your phone has available.
– How much of this storage is taken up by your Operating System.
– How much of this storage is taken up by your Apps.
– How much of this storage is taken up by your data (e.g. your photos).
Step 2: How much phone storage do you need?
– We may not always need the highest capacity smartphone model available, watch this video to help you reflect on smartphone storage use.
Step 3: How much have I learnt?
Now that we have looked at this topic in some depth, you are prepared to handle the final question on this topic. This question will need you to recall things we’ve been discussing and also reflect on them to come up with answers to more advanced questions.
– Try out the question available in ‘Scenario-based Question.pdf’ in the resource section. This question is very similar to the type of question you might expect in exams.
– Check your answers with the answer sheet provided.
Well done! You have completed this topic. We hope you have enjoyed it!
