How To Carry Out This Lesson At Home:
1. Introduction: Students are exposed to a variety of tools. Students are asked: Which tools are used for measuring? and Which tools are used for cutting?
2. Follow slide 3-7 on measuring tools. Meanwhile students are shown a measuring tape and a ruler. Their characteristics are discussed. The use and characteristics of each are written down in the information handout,
3. Slide 8: Students are shown a dressmaker’s shears and a pinking shears. They are asked what is the difference between the two.
4. Follow slide 9-13 is about different cutting tools. Discuss the characteristics of a dressmaker’s shears. The use and characteristics of the dressmaker’s shears is written down in the information handout.
