How to use this pack:
1. This pack was originally intended as an exemplar for the new SEC English Literature syllabus. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic it was decided it should be shared with Year 10 students who are studying the novel as part of the current SEC English Literature syllabus.

2. It is intended to introduce students to the background of Animal Farm, so it does not require any prior reading of the novel. Students in Year 10 who are studying Animal Farm would find it useful as a revision of the background to the novel. Other students who are not studying this novel are encouraged to dip into the pack and read the book, or perhaps read non-fiction texts about the socio-historical background.

3. The pack includes a power-point presentation, corresponding work-sheets which include 13 tasks followed by answer sheets, and a number of video-links that support the presentation and tasks.
