Watch this video to familiarize yourself with different German vocabulary about the weather.

Step 2
Open the Power Point Presentations (refer to Resources): Das Wetter Teil 1 / The Weather Part 1 and Das Wetter Teil 2 / The Weather Part 2 and have a look at some of the German vocabulary about the weather. Try to remember words or phrases. The process takes time, commitment and patience. Don’t expect to learn everything all at once. But keep at it, and you’ll manage to learn them gradually. (Reading)

Step 3
Watch this video now to familiarize yourself with the German vocabulary about the weather in relation to the 4 seasons. It is also important to know what is the weather like in every season. Then read the vocabulary list (refer to Resources) Natur bei jedem Wetter / Environment whatever the Weather  to practice further the German vocabulary about the weather. (Listening and Reading).

Step 4
Practice the German vocabulary about the weather in relation to the 4 seasons in German by opening the Power Point Presentation (refer to Resources): Die Jahreszeiten / The Seasons.  The weather is different during each season and it is important that you can describe it in simple short sentences, using the German vocabulary about the weather. (Reading and Writing)

Step 5
Now you are ready to work out the 2 tasks provided (refer to Resources): Das Wetter /The Weather and Der Wetterbericht in Deutschland / The Weather Report in Germany. In the first task you have to match the phrases with the pictures. Task 2 is divided into two parts.  In part 1 you have to read 2 short weather reports and draw the correct weather symbols for each town and in part 2 you have to draw mini symbols in the boxes and describe the weather in the towns.  You can choose the weather. You may refer to the documents entitled Answer Sheet and Weather Vocabulary to check your work. (Reading and Writing)
