Step 2 – Student is to think of different places and instances where a risk assessment might be needed

Step 3 – Student is to watch the featured video Student’s Guide – Risk Assessment for a student studying to become an electrician and then reflect on –
• Why a risk assessment is important
• 2 things which were done to reduce the risks
• 2 things taken into consideration before the ladder was used

Step 4 – Student to go through the Health and Safety Policy and Risk Assessment Template resource to have a clearer idea of what completing a risk assessment plan is all about.

Step 5 – Student to role play a potential project which might be undertaken at home or in the community and complete a risk assessment form for any tasks that s/he might be responsible for.
