'Yooki and the Union of the Forest' educational package

Would you like your pupils to develop a basic knowledge of the European Union, but feel the
subject is too complex for them?
The educational package ‘Yooki and the Union of the Forest’ will help them discover what the
EU is, why it was created and what the role of the Council and the member states is. It explains
the origins of the EU through an imaginary world where Yooki the firefly and his animal friends live.

It consists of:
o an illustrated story ‘Yooki and the Union of the Forest’
o an activity book ‘Learn with Yooki’
o an illustrated map of the European Union
o a teacher’s guide

'Civic education package'

Would you like to teach about the EU and how its 27 member states work together, but lack the time to research and organise your lessons? The Council’s ‘Civic education package’ includes 7 ready-made teaching lessons designed to help teachers, university lecturers and other education professionals explain the work of the Council of the EU and the work of the European Council.
Each lesson contains the teacher’s manuals with the organisation of time and a step-by-step description of the activities, and all the materials to be used in class, including PowerPoint presentations, videos, and links to supporting documents.

Minister for a Day

Would you like your students to learn by doing and take on an active role in class?
The Council’s role play exercise simulates a Council meeting, allowing students to step into the shoes of national ministers, to present the position of their countries and negotiate with the other EU countries.

It helps teachers, university lecturers and education professionals explain how the 27 EU countries work together in the Council of the EU, while also allowing the students to
practice crucial horizontal skills, such as public speaking, negotiation, and active listening.

It comes with a manual for the teacher/moderator, illustrating how to organise the game and assign roles, 29 country sheets to be distributed to the participants, and a supporting PowerPoint presentation including notes for the moderator that can be projected during the
simulation (optional).

Europa Quest

Are you looking for an entertaining way to teach your students about the European Union and how the 27 EU countries work together? Europa Quest is a quiz-based educational tool designed to encourage teamwork and communication among participants, fostering a sense
of community and shared learning.
It comes as a PDF manual with step-by-step guide and a supporting PowerPoint
presentation that features the questions and answers, which can be projected during the
activity (optional), as well as notes for the moderator.
